Village Potential Statistics of Baubau Municipality 2024

BPS-Statistics Baubau Municipality has carried out data collection on Village Potential (Podes) 2024 in May 2024 in a census of all districts and the lowest government administrative areas at the village level. The results of the 2024 Podes data collection recorded that all 43 government administrative areas at the village level in Baubau Municipality are classified as subdistrict/urban villages (kelurahan). In addition, it is also known that the number of districts is 8. Podes 2024 collects a variety of information, both those are potential for villages/subdistricts, information related to vulnerabilities or challenges faced by villages/subdistricts, and basic infrastructure in village/subdistrict. Information related to the potential of the village/subdistrict includes: demography and employment, settlement and enironment, education, health, socio-culture, sports and entertainment, transportation, communication and information, economy, security, development and empowerment of the village/subdistrict community. Information related to vulnerabilities or challenges includes natural disasters, environmental pollution, social and health problems in the community, and security disturbances that occur in villages/subdistricts. Infrastructure information in villages/subdistricts includes: education, health and economic infrastructure. Podes 2024 captured natural disasters in the subdistrict area. The results of Podes 2024 can be used as material for regional analysis related to the economic, social and regional facilities/infrastructure potential for the development of Baubau Municipality. In addition, it can also be used in program evaluation and used in the formulation of regional-based policies/strategies.
