Baubau City 2020 Population Census Long Form Result Booklet

BAUBAU CITY as one of the cities with considerable economic potential in eastern Indonesia, is full of population dynamics. The population of Baubau City, with the right strategy, can become the strength of the nation for an Advanced Indonesia. In order to realize the ideals of an advanced Indonesia, in 2022, exactly a decade of Indonesia's demographic bonus, BPS strives to complete the mandate to carry out the SP2020 Long Form with various challenges in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the permission of God Almighty and the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 field data collection has been completed. The SP2020 Long Form carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, a Demographic Portrait of Indonesia after passing the second wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, an evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, and a basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards the Golden Indonesia 2045. And of course, in its scope in Baubau City, the SP2020 Long Form will portray a Safe, Advanced, Prosperous and Dignified Baubau City. Although the SP2020 Long Form was carried out in the midst of a pandemic, there were several innovations implemented, one of which was the use of CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) mode, which was the first time it had been applied in the history of population censuses. The implementation journey and results of the SP2020 Long Form are briefly presented in the booklet Population Indicators of SP2020 Long Form Results. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of Baubau City's population situation based on the SP2020 Long Form results.The basic data coverage of the SP2020 Long Form results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, employment, disability, education, and housing. The provision of demographic parameters and population characteristics is expected to produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of SDGs and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
