Abstract

In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Baubau City will be 3.01 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.07.
Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices Eight expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and groups tobacco by 8.00 percent; clothing and footwear group of 1.85 percent; housing, air, electricity and household fuel groups amounting to 0.32 percent; transportation group at 2.36 percent; recreation group, sports and culture at 5.95 percent; education group of 1.41 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group of 1.98 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.47 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: group of supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance amounting to 0.26 percent; health group at 0.74 percent; as well as information groups, communications, and financial services by 1.10 percent.
Baubau City's month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-year (y-to-d) inflation rates in June 2024 is 0.10 percent and 1.36 percent respectively.
